Terry Joe Martin, professor and wheat breeder is in charge of the wheat-breeding program.  He joined the Agricultural Research Center in 1974.

Martin's primary focus is on developing / breeding new varieties of quality winter wheats that are resistance to wheat streak mosaic, leaf rust, Hessian fly, and Russian wheat aphid.
